1. Purpose and Scope

This Acceptable Use & Abuse Policy explains the permitted use of services provided by ISTIRIO LLC, operating under the ISTanCo brand (“ISTanCo”, “we”, “us” or “our”), and how we handle reports of abuse.

This policy applies to domain registration and domain-related services, web hosting, email hosting, SSL certificates and related features (“Services”). It forms part of our Terms of Service and applies together with our Domain Registration Agreement.

You are responsible for your use of the Services and for the content and activities of persons you authorize to use them.

2. Prohibited Activities

You must not use the Services to conduct, facilitate or knowingly support:

  • activities that violate applicable law;
  • phishing, impersonation, fraudulent websites, payment fraud or the theft of credentials or personal data;
  • the distribution of malware, ransomware or other malicious software, or the operation of botnets;
  • unauthorized access to accounts, devices or networks, exploitation of security vulnerabilities, or interception of communications;
  • denial-of-service attacks or other activities intended to disrupt systems, networks or services;
  • unsolicited bulk email, spam or the operation of infrastructure used to distribute it;
  • infringement of copyright, trademarks or other intellectual property rights, including distributing pirated software or counterfeit goods;
  • child sexual abuse material, sexual exploitation or other unlawful exploitative content;
  • unlawful threats, harassment or disclosure of personal information; or
  • attempts to evade security restrictions, service suspensions or measures taken to stop abuse.

Security testing of systems that you do not own requires the prior authorization of their owner. Testing that could affect our infrastructure or other customers also requires our prior written approval.

3. Domain Names and DNS Abuse

You must not use domain names or DNS services managed through us for phishing, pharming, malware distribution, botnet operation or other unlawful activities. Spam used to deliver or support these activities is also prohibited.

Domain names remain subject to the policies of the relevant registry and Registrar of Record and, where applicable, ICANN. Actions affecting a domain name are taken in accordance with our Domain Registration Agreement, applicable policies and applicable law.

Registering a domain name through us does not necessarily mean that its website or email is hosted on our infrastructure. Our ability to investigate or remove content depends on the Services we provide for that domain name.

4. Hosting Content and Resource Use

Adult content, pirated content and content that infringes the rights of third parties may not be stored or published on our hosting or email Services, as stated in our Terms of Service.

You must use hosting resources within the limits of your selected plan. You must not run applications or processes that materially impair shared infrastructure, interfere with other customers or bypass resource limits.

If your usage exceeds your plan limits, we may ask you to reduce usage or upgrade your plan. Where necessary to protect the infrastructure, we may temporarily restrict the affected Service.

5. Email and Spam

Our hosting and email Services must not be used to send unsolicited bulk email or to support spam campaigns.

You must not:

  • send bulk messages to purchased, rented or harvested address lists;
  • falsify sender information or email headers;
  • operate an open mail relay or allow compromised accounts to send spam; or
  • use our Services to collect responses or host content for a spam campaign.

For mailing lists, you must be able to demonstrate that recipients agreed to receive the messages. Marketing messages must provide a clear way to unsubscribe, and unsubscribe requests must be honored.

We may apply sending limits, filtering or temporary restrictions to protect our infrastructure and email reputation. These measures do not replace your obligation to comply with applicable law.

6. Account and Website Security

You must keep your account credentials confidential and maintain reasonable security for websites, applications and email accounts using the Services. This includes updating software, removing vulnerable components and responding to signs of compromise.

If an account or website is compromised, you must take prompt steps to stop the abuse and correct the cause. We may temporarily restrict the affected Service while the issue is investigated or resolved.

You remain responsible for maintaining your own backups, as described in our Terms of Service.

7. Reporting Abuse

Reports concerning our Services can be submitted through our abuse contact form or by email to sladana@istanco.com.

Please include:

  • the domain name, URL or IP address concerned;
  • a description of the reported activity;
  • relevant evidence, such as timestamps with the time zone, screenshots, logs or complete email headers;
  • your contact details; and
  • for intellectual property complaints, identification of the protected work or right and an explanation of your authority to report the matter.

Provide enough information for us to identify and investigate the issue. Do not send passwords, payment card details or unnecessary personal data. Do not attach suspected child sexual abuse material; provide the relevant URL and a description instead.

8. Review of Reports

We review reports to determine whether the activity relates to our Services and whether action is appropriate under this policy, our agreements, supplier requirements or applicable law. We may request additional information from the reporter or the customer.

A report does not automatically result in suspension or removal. Where appropriate, we may refer a matter to the hosting provider, Registrar of Record, registry or another party able to address it.

We prioritize reports indicating an ongoing security threat or serious unlawful activity. The time needed to investigate depends on the nature of the report and the available evidence.

9. Enforcement

Depending on the nature and severity of the issue, we may:

  • notify you and request corrective action;
  • restrict email sending or access to an affected feature;
  • remove or disable access to content hosted on our infrastructure;
  • suspend or terminate an affected Service or account; or
  • take or request domain-related action permitted by the applicable registry or registrar policies.

Where reasonably possible, we will notify you and give you an opportunity to resolve the issue. We may act without prior notice where necessary to stop an ongoing threat, protect others or comply with legal or supplier requirements.

Suspension, termination, refunds and the handling of data after termination are governed by our Terms of Service, Domain Registration Agreement and Refund & Cancellation Policy.

10. Review of an Enforcement Decision

If you believe that a restriction or suspension was applied in error, contact us through a support ticket or at sladana@istanco.com. Include the affected Service, the relevant notice and any evidence supporting your request.

We will review the information provided. Reinstatement may require correction of the underlying issue and may depend on decisions or requirements of the relevant registry, registrar or other supplier.

11. Privacy and Cooperation

We handle personal data contained in abuse reports in accordance with our Privacy Policy. Information may be shared with relevant service providers, registrars, registries or competent authorities where necessary to investigate a report or where required by law.

We may need to disclose relevant parts of a complaint to the affected customer so that they can respond. We cannot guarantee that a report will remain confidential.

We do not routinely monitor all Customer Content. This does not prevent us from investigating reports or taking action when we become aware of prohibited activity.

12. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The updated version will be published on the Website with a new effective date. Material changes will be communicated in accordance with our Terms of Service.
